West Alton is a city in St. Charles County, Missouri. It is located at the tip of the peninsula formed by the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. West Alton serves as our eastern most community and is rural in nature. Great fishing along both the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers makes it attractive to fisherman.
West Alton has 3 City Parks. The Main Park has 2 pavilions, rest rooms, ball diamond and tractor pull track. Across the road is the Memorial Park. It is home to the Veteran’s Memorial and the Memorial Bricks. The Children’s Park is located in front on the Rivers Pointe Fire Department.
West Alton is also home to several conservation areas including Dresser Island and the Lincoln-Shields access area. It is also home to the Edward “Ted” and Pat Jones-Confluence Point State Park. (Cited from West Alton Website)
